On 15.03.2024 the Slovak Toll Charger Národná diaľničná spoločnosť (NDS) started EETS operations in their nationwide GNSS toll domain. Four EETS Providers are accredited in the toll domain of NDS, and all of them started simultaneously with operations in Slovakia. This is an important milestone for EETS, and for many transport companies this will mean simplified tolling and one OBU less in their trucks.

The EETS start went very smoothly, after an accreditation process with implementation of back-office interfaces, thorough testing and a pilot phase in close cooperation between NDS, their system operator Skytoll and the EETS Providers. All four accredited EETS-Providers – EUROWAG W.A.G. Payment solutions, ITIS Holding, Telepass and Toll4Europe – could initiate operations successfully and can now offer tolling services in Slovakia to their partners and customers.
